Obituary for
Jim Nolan
James Daniel Nolan of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at Elgin General Hospital in St. Thomas on Friday, October 5, 2012, in his 85th year.
Survived by his siblings Helen and Bruce Miehm, Pat Hartleib, all of Kitchener and Vincent and Mary Ellen Nolan of Waterloo. Also survived by his brother-in-law Vincent Murray of Seaforth; many nieces, nephews and by his close friends Colleen and Doug Walker of St. Thomas. Predeceased by his parents James and Elizabeth Nolan; siblings Dorothy Murray, Dennis Nolan (Anna), Mary Tate (Bryan), Joe Nolan (Helen), Louis Nolan, Frank Nolan, Ann Stockie (Bill); and by his brother-in-law Wilf Hartleib.
Visitation was held at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Tuesday, October 9th from 6-9 p.m. Jim`s Funeral Mass was be celebrated from St. James Roman Catholic Church, 22 Victoria St. N., Seaforth, on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment took place at St. Columban Roman Catholic Cemetery and a luncheon followed at the Seaforth Legion, Branch 156.
A memorial service to celebrate Jim's life will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas, 519-631-0570, on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. immediately followed by a reception.
Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the C.N.I.B. would be appreciated.
