Velma Almena Preszcator (Hill)

Velma Preszcator passed away at her home in Seaforth on Monday, December 21, 2015. Born in Stephen Township on January 12, 1932, Velma Almena (nee Hill) Preszcator of Seaforth was in her 84th year.
Beloved wife of Ken Preszcator for 68 years. Loving mother of David Preszcator (Rose) of Stratford, Linda Dillon (Larry) of Goderich, Diane Leonard (Gary) of Sarnia, Nancy Anstett (Doug) of Seaforth and mother-in-law of Janice Preszcator of Varna. Cherished Grandma of 15, Great-Grandma of 25 and Great-Great-Grandma of three. Dear sister-in-law of John Hoffmeyer, Shirley Trumer (Elwood), Phyllis Pfaff and Helen Smith. Velma will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her sons Kenneth John ‘Johnny’ (1949) and James Ross (2014), parents Lawrence and Leita (nee King) Hill, sisters Doris Pfaff (Allen), Eveleen Jennison (Bob), Labelle Hoffmeyer (Mervin Webb), and her in-laws Ruby Hodgins (Aaron), Howard Preszcator (Jean), Stan Preszcator (Francis) (Shirley), Thelma Ducharme, Pack Daniels, Gordon Smith, Emery Pfaff and Ted Wright.
Visitation will be held at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate Velma’s life will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Steve Hildebrand officiating. Reception to follow at Egmondville United Church and interment will take place at Maitlandbank Cemetery in the spring.
