F. Ruth "Mickey" Waltham (Allison)
Ruth passed away peacefully on February 11, 2016 at Huronview, Clinton, in her 87th year.
Ruth will be missed by Fred Waltham, her devoted husband of 60 years, her children Victoria (Randy), Eric, Fred (Lonnie), seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sisters-in-law, Marjorie Clark (John), Margaret Kahle, sisters Hazel, Blanche, Beverly, and brothers Joe (Pat), Charles (Rose), as well as her precious “Miss Kitty”. Predeceased by three sisters and one brother.
Ruth enjoyed many successful years of teaching in London and Mississauga, then retired to her farm at Walton. In her retirement she travelled extensively in Europe, spending 20 winters in her beloved Portugal. Ruth will be remembered for her love of family, loyalty to friends, her generosity, her culinary expertise, her outstanding bridge finesse, as well as being an amazing wife and best friend.
Keeping with Ruth’s wishes cremation has taken place with no formal funeral services. A private family inurnment of her ashes will take place at a later date in the Strathroy Cemetery.
