Obituary for
Larry James Burns
Peacefully, surrounded by the love of family, Larry James Burns, passed away at Seaforth Community Hospital on Friday, April 27, 2018. In his 74 years among us, Larry’s life was shaped with the blessings of family, faith and farming.
Larry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Betty and their children, Conrad (Pam), Art (Tracy Bisback) and James (Jenn). Missing a very special grandpa are grandchildren David, Eliza, James, Anna and Jacob. Four legged friends Nicki, Becky and Tilley were also near to Larry’s heart. Fond memories of Larry remain with his siblings Bob (Sandy Blackman) Burns, Dianne Wilson, Carol Wissel and Roy Brown.
In faith, we trust that Larry’s spirit is reunited in eternal life with his parents Joseph and Phyllis (née Barry) Burns, his step-father Angus Brown, brother Ken Burns, siblings-in-law Diane Burns and Ross Alexander, along with Conrad and Claire Eckert who influenced Larry’s life in special ways.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to McGlynn Family Funeral Home, Seaforth (519-527-1390). Honouring Larry’s wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, May 5 from 12- 1:45 p.m. at St. Thomas' Anglican Church, 21 Jarvis Street, Seaforth, followed by a memorial service to celebrate Larry’s life at 2 p.m. Interment in Egmondville Cemetery and a reception will follow at Seaforth Legion Branch 156, 123 Main Street South, Seaforth. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Thomas' Anglican Church or Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
