Joy Fumiko Pepper (Uchiyama)
Joy passed away peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre in Orangeville on Thursday, August 2, 2018. Born in British Columbia on August 24, 1943, Joy Fumiko Pepper (née Uchiyama) of Orangeville, formerly of Hensall, was in her 75th year.
Beloved wife of Mervyn Pepper for 2 months shy of 50 years. Loving sister of Victor Uchiyama of London, and sister-in-law of Marlene Harburn (Bill) of Winthrop and Murray Pepper (Sandra) of Brussels. Joy will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Suyeky and Masu Uchiyama, as well as her siblings and siblings-in-law.
Joy was an employee at Big O / Armtech in Orangeville for 40 years.
Cremation will be taking place and a graveside memorial service will be held at Maitlandbank Cemetery, 42636 Hydro Line Road, Seaforth, on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. Arrangements are entrusted to McGlynn Family Funeral Home, Seaforth, 519-527-1390.
